Can some recommend me a good drum synth vst that sound good?

I don't want to make all my drums, but instead a snare or a hihat when i need some that should fit in the mix.

I just tried the free drumatic http://www.kvraudio.com/get/307.html, it sounds quite well, but wonder if perhaps there's one better?

Sonic Charge MicroTonic or Waldorf Attack.

...or Operator.

...or Analog.

...or Simpler with just basic (sine, pulse, saw) samples. Maybe racked.

hi rob, i'm not sure if the drumazon fits my needs. i'm looking for a synth with more tune possibilities. basically a synth with noise oscillator also to make for example the hihats for fx (steam) like.

drumatic is quite good. but i'll take a look on waldorf attack and microtonic. other suggestions?

+1 for mircotonic based on it's synthiness like you are looking for, no samples used.

Attack is a drum synth. Oscillators uses samples for hi-hats. But you can also use synthesized tri, saw and so forth...

I got a copy of Waldorf Attack LE with a Novation product. It seems pretty impressive, lots of parameters to tweak.

Didn't get a chance to play for long but I reckon it should be able to produce a wide range to synthesised sounds.

wait until you start resampling your microtonic drums into live drumracks and clips with timestretch and transpose automations possible...AND line it up with camel phat and/or camelspace. shit is tight. TIGHT I say!

basically... if you use Live... it should be enough for all your drum-synth needs...

I used to be a fan of Drumatic but one day I've tried MicroTonic and since then I'm making all my beats with it, very powerful VST. The one I just ALWAYS need.
The only problem is that there is much more than 128 buttons and I would like to midi assign some that Live doesn't show in the VST Live interface :-/
