what's the different between bouncing and rendering?
actually i dont give a diggety.
I just want to be ABLE to save stuff to MP3

well nouncing is generation intermediate audio file to keep working on with them and not with the original lines. bouncing to mp3 makes no sense because intermediate files in mp3 just guarantee you a loss of quality in the middle stages of production.
rendering is creating a single audio file for the final version of your song, mix or master. rendering to mp3 is useful for demo purposes or to compile an mp3 netlabel or iTunes Store mp3 master but not for the middle stages of production.
That's why I support rendering but not bouncing.
(bouncing in live is posible by making the recording source of a track "resampling" or another track that is bouncing in Live. I would consider bouncing also flattening a frozen track)

hell yeah so imaportant when you want to export to an online store that's all they want for some reason.

Would be a completely and utterly useless waste of space.
Why should Ableton (license and) bundle one specific MP3 encoder when doing it manually is about as troublesome as farting?
