Is it?

I was really close to buying one today until I heard about the plastic cracking(on this forum).

had to get a vaio instead for use earlier this evening!

I'd still like to get one....

If less than 5% are cracked(according to this poll) I''ll buy one

THANKS!

mine cracked in the same spot as the above pictured. it also shut off for what ever reason... took it to the apple store last saturday, got it back yesterday,
with a new palmrest cover, and trackpad. the keys might be new, ass well. hasn't shut off, and done it's 3 beep melody... we'll see.
on another note, my mbp looks and acts like it did when i bought it a year and a half ago... took less than 6 months for the mb to get all retarded.

i've had mine over a year now and the only problem i have is the dirtiness. i've got some mr.clean magic eraser for that. runs like a champion tho.

Be careful admitting to using cracks on this forum, some people don't take kindly to people who openly boast about using illegitimate hardware...

I voted yes, but then I saw that metal macbook pros needn't apply :(

Yea, they just add a little character. My over 2 year old Core Duo has been a solid workhorse, and I'm on the road 8 months a year. I prefer cracks to aluminum dents.

By contrast, I dropped a 53 pound boulder on my MBP and the boulder cracked. My MBP is fine.

I just set them up and you bat them out of the park.

And now back to music.
