Hi, I know you need 4 outputs on a soundcard to set up a stereo cue out but do they have to be analogue....or would the second outs be ok if they were digital outputs for routing to the cue out.........I'm confused!
Thanks.

Can you explain in a little more detail? What equipment are you using exactly?

I've not got a soundcard for gigging yet (outputting a click track to a drummer via the headphones that doesn't appear on the main PA) and was wondering if an Edirol UA-25 or an Emu 0404usb would do the job.......these have one set of analogue outputs and a separate digital output. Does anyone know how stable these are with Windows Vista? Thanks.

Hi,
anyway you I'm sure you can connect the digital IN to the OUT and
1)route your signal to those OUTs
2)route the digital OUT to the phone OUT
I'm doing this with a Projectmix -that has only 4 analog OUT and a digital one- since a long time and... no problem.
Good luck

You would need equipment that could accept a digital optical S/PDIF input from the interface so you could hear your DJ cue. It's not practical. Go for an interface that was designed with 4 analog outs with DJing in mind. The Fast Track Pro from M-Audio is a better option.

I've heard bad things about M-Audio and Vista.......no?
