Akai MPD-32 and Drum Rack scrolling question

Hi, Can't seem to get this to work properly, I'm probably doing someing really stupid so any suggestions much appeciated.
I'm using the MPD-32 default Live template and have Pad Bank A selected on the MPD. All 16 MPD pads map perfectly to the first 16 pads in Live Drum Rack. Nice. When I press Pad Bank B, C or D on the MDP the wrong pads are selected in the Live drum rack?
Not sure where the drum rack scroller should be as this seems to make a difference with the mappings, it's right at the top at the mo.
Any ideas? Thanks.

i use the mpd24 and i use the battery 7 default and that preset gets the job done from banks A-D.

first : do you have the mpd set up as a control surface in abe? ->
you only use the pad bank 1 for the drum rack, it will trigger the cells that are in the cell-scrolling-brackets (the little square in the cell overview), if you what to trigger different cells just move the brackets to other cells via the cursor keys.
if you use pad bank b-d its not recognized as a control surface but triggers the cells according to the midi notes it sends, just as you would do with a standart midi keyboard.

Thanks revA. MPD32 is correctly set as control surface. MPD pad bank A maps OK by default. MPD band bank B maps OK to a different set of Live pads by default which is great.
But when I press MPD pad bank C or D they seem to overlap pads in the live drumrack. ie-MPD pad bank C pad 1 plays the same Live drumrack pad as MPD pad bank D pad 16.
I suppose 32 separate drum hits is more than enough but it would be nice to get them all working so I could have a massive drum kit with 64 individual hits (16 pads x 4 banks) all ready to go.

just tried that out with my mpd, i didn't noticed the notenumbers in the banks were layed out inconsistend. bank b goes from c-1 to d#2, c from e2 to g3 and d from e3 to g4.
the easy solution is just to change the notes in bank d g#3 to b4 (pad1-pad 16), then they go up without overlapping. but you just have 3 different 4*4 grids in the drumrack since bank a(control surface) is placed by default on the same cells as bank b triggers.
less easy solution: to get 4 different trigger banks you should change the notes in banks b to bank d: bank b: e2-g3; bank c: g#3-b4; bank d: c5-d#6
now bank a(control surface) is placed by default on notes c1-d#2, banks b-d triggering the following 48 notes.
