bassline generator

hi, anyone knows if it is possible to generate an automated bassline in ableton live. a friend makes them in reaktor but I guess it is possible to generate such i live?

really.. Reaktor beats that abl2 when it comes to sequencing..

make a long sine wave tone with Operator
drop in a compressor, set it to sidechain from the drum track
compress the hell out of it
done


or draw a volume envelope around a bass tone and unlink it in clip view

or use an arpeggiator

or just program it in, click in notes, use a scale plug in if you can't get it consonant.

or sample a bassline you like (not like you're going to sell the track, have fun!)
