Head over to
www.speedtest.net and check out your internet speed. Curious to see what people get in different parts of the world and how much they are paying for it.
Here's what I get at home for $45 a month.
And this is what I got while staying at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Ridiculous.

VDSL 2 aka Turbo DSL. I pay about €35 a month, including Swedish sales tax (some whopping 25%!). That's an intro offer though, it'll get above €40 in six months. But that includes cheap telephony.
I realise now that I was uploading some stuff while I did the test, so the actual upload rate is about 1 Mb higher.

Definitely switch mate, that is a fookin' rip-off - if you have sky, get the full package, much cheaper.

I pay $128 CDN /month for internet, TV and phone service, bundled. I have too many computers and too many set top boxes. It eats bandwidth.

Rather remote Tokyo suburb/satellite city - countryside, according to every Tokyoite. 4000 yen (about $40) a month.
