MBP HD upgrade to 500gb

Thinking of upgrading my current 7200 rpm 160 gig MBP harddrive, anyone done this? I'm mostly wondering about the speed difference, I don't run massive sets but I run a fair amount of loops and samples and instruments (reaktor, stylus, kontakt) from the internal HD. I'm wondering what kind of slowdown to expect if i do this, but right now the lack of space is driving me nuts. I've got half a Kontakt library and I've had to move a bunch of loop libraries to external to have room for the Stylus. External is fine but I'd rather just have everything on one drive...anyone done this yet?

thanks, i was looking for that thread but couldn't find it...sounds like speed wouldn't be too much of an issue, I'm thinking of going the Samsung route, anyone tried this drive yet?

DONT DO IT. The instruction on the internet don't tell you that you can bend the keyboard/top panel and it will never fit again like from the factory. I did this to mine and added a 320. Have someone who works on Macbook Pros for a living do it.

Just my suggestion.

I did it, it's fine. Just lift the keyboard up straight and don't bend it. There are heaps of how-to picture guides on the net. Piece of piss.

I just put a 320GB in my MBP and it was dead easy, don't see how you can bend your keyboard, it's not that hard to get off.
