... before you all start speculating if my presence in the forum the last hours means Live 8 will come next week, the answer is: no, it will not come next week, i am just sitting here, listening to hours of field recordings and have time to waste in between...

All right Liefon, what is that link supposed to link to? I'm dying to know what's up re: Live's upgrade path.
Be it Live 7.x, Live 8, Live 2009, whatever... there are a few things that are starting to feel like necessities:
- Vista 64-bit support (including, perhaps, WaveRT)?
- 128-bit VST parameter limit?
- MP3 export?
- Crossfade automation recording in session view?
I've had to go back to Sonar on my desktop because Ableton is so goofy under Vista 64. And I'd much rather be running Live.
Not to present an ultimatum, but more in hopes of motivating Ableton, if Live doesn't see 64-bit support soonish, I'm going to get lured back into the Cakewalk upgrade treadmill, learning curve, et al, and probably wind up jumping ship, at least until things are sorted. You can only serve so many masters.
