Tempo change in dummy clip

You would think so... Is this possible? I don't really want automated BMP changes driven by XXXbpm on the scenes.
Am I missing an obvious envelope for it? Please and thanks.

Um.. ya, I can see a tempo envelope on Master track in arrangement ok. But! I want to copy that bugger back to a dummy clip, which doesn't seem so obvious.

assign a cc to the tempo in the transport bar.
make a dummy clip and draw your envelope for that cc.
send this to your virual midi (IAC on mac, midi yoke or something similar on pc)
make the right settings in preferences for this to work...

I do use yoke to feed midi back to Live. The part that's confusing is 'assign' a cc. I use the CC's in the clips to drive my hardware synth of course. It also makes sense to me that the tempo can be controlled from a controller. With yoke I've assigned buttons for say 'record' (so a jam randomly records). But, I don't know how to go about creating an envelope that will control tempo change in this manner.
