I've never been happier to lose a bunch of money in the stock market than I am today

this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, i shows there truly are some people in power that care more about the little guy than corporations. I thought America was a lost cause, this has changed my opinion of a once great country, maybe the spirit of what they once stood for still echoes quietly in the halls and streets and minds of the people. Talk about patriotism, THAT was patriotism.

It is now. You do realise this will have a global impact, including Wales?

i dont think you quite understand that this is a good thing. Now we are going to have a world wide deep recession now rather than a worldwide deep depression in a years time. i know which i would rather. having said that it will probably still be pushed through somehow. it was a small victory i suppose.

You're absolutely correct, over ten years of working in one of the largest financial centres in the world has left me without any understanding of financial markets.

You're clearly insane, I'm leaving this one

How can people be expected to understand something as complicated as the stock market when they don't understand simple facts like Bush is a lying motherfucker?
We're fucked. Too many stupid people in this country, in this world.

Yes things are going to become unpleasant but this 'fix' would have probably made things worse over the long run.. imo this whole thing was manufactured to further the cause of global destabilization and the gambit is that Americans are too ignorant and too complacent to resist our benefactors from saving us from this 'disaster' scenario..

I laugh and fiddle while Rome burns. I am very amused by this whole process.

Most people haven't got a clue, they base their opinions on tabloid nonsense, political squabbling, and their most recent google web search.
As for the politicians, they remind me of the scene in Life of Brian when Judith bursts in to announce Brian has been arrested and he's about to be nailed to the cross...
"Completely new motion! Uh, that, uh, that there be, uh, immediate action..."
You know the rest.
