I've put up a new song entitled "There is no End of the Earth."

This is a re-recording of a song I made before I had Live. The original was all done with real instruments. Out of my older songs, I always liked this one, so I updated it to fit with my current stuff.

In the original, I played the repeating four notes on a Sanshin (an Okinawan banjo), the main melody on a pianica (an air blown piano) and the rest on a guitar.

Give it some time. It takes a little bit to get really going. There are a few vocals scattered throughout the song, and a bit more at the end.

If you have any comments positive or negative, please don't hesitate to post them. If you want to be my friend, please send me a request. I don't bite. My last song on here didn't seem too popular (judging by the zero comments and low play count), so I hope this one is more to everybody's liking (but hey, if it's not, let me know!)

Nice chilled out tune mate. Liking the toms toward the end. I'd really like to hear the original with the instruments! If you have an mp3 could you send it me? PM me if so.

A long-winded response to the comment about the toms: I was always drumming in a band in some form or the other since Jr. High School. I started playing with the same core group of musicians when I was 17, but had to give up my drumming ways when I moved to Japan in 2006. I think a lot of the stuff I make, while being electronic music, still follows "regular" music sensibilities. Those toms are definitely a reflection of the fact that I used to be a drummer. I'd love to jam again with like-minded musicians, but it's hard to do in Japan (no such thing as basements or insulation).


levimoniz: Wow, that's the coolest thing anyone's said to me in a long time. It's tough to make music in Japan because there's nobody to get any feedback from. I'm always VERY happy whenever somebody tells me anything about something I've made. The fact that you only came here to check out my stuff makes me happy indeed. Maybe I'm not wasting my time with this music stuff after all.
