Hello people, I recently got an zoom H2 and have been trying, without success, to hook it up via usb to ableton so I could use it as mic in. I also interface with the NRV10.
Do any of you own this device and know the best way to do this?

Thanks for your time.

I think you can only use the H4 as an interface

I have one here, and although I haven't tried it I think it's definitely possible. I'll give it a go tonight..

what firmware are you using? It's now up to 1.4 But what came in the box won't mount in OS X leopard, for example. You will need to both download and install it via a windows pc. Then when you do turn it on with a USB connection already established, you'll have a toggle option of using it as an interface or a drive. You'll pick interface. Then you will see it in the ableton audio preferences along with the i/o inputs for your session channels. I wouldn't really think of it as an interface (maybe if you're using a 1/8" line in) but I think of it more as a USB mic, like the blue or the rodes, and would seriously consider limiting it to pod-cast interviews or down-dirty guitar sketches.

After plugging in the USB cable selecting to use it as an audio interface, you need to select connect from the menu. I've done this with mine several times, OS X 10.4.
