Axiom49 encoder problems

hey all.

so i've gone thru the axiom lessons from the live pack. i've watched the youtube videos, i know how to adjust the encoder curve BUT...

now when i assign my encoders to a parameter of any rotary knob (impulse, instruments, etc) the knob ALWAYS jumps back to it's original position, no matter how quickly or slowly i turn the encoder, and no matter which acc. curve i use.

any ides? i've set up the axiom properly incl. the midi sync/dump from ableton preferences, and all my other controls are working properly.

i really want to be able to assign and tweak knobs live and i refuse to use my mouse. any and all help is greatly appreciated!

sorry for not being able to solve your problem, but ....

my advice: get a different controller. the axiom seems to be built well, but programming it is a real pain. We had one for several months and I refuse to spend more than one hour on progrmming a controller, because in the end I want to make music and not find workarounds for the ill design of the controller software. So we sold it (and got a mpd 32 and a keyboard) because we never got it working to it's potential.

Have you posted on the M-Audio Forum? I had some issues and posted there and go very good service, and a detailed fix.

My Axiom worked without using the dump in Live. Everything works fine. Which preset are you using on the Axiom?

i don't know what i did differently, but i got everything to work smoothly!

i re-sent the midi dump in preferences and now it works when i midi map to an encoder.

i am using presets 18, 19, or 20, but i usually custom map in each set that i work on.
