Hi I am quite new to linking up and using soundmodules etc and I really need some help with my Proteus 1000.

I have a Roland D-10 going through a midiman 2x2 linked to the proteus and then to PC via USB.

I have ableton reading the midi signals but there is no sound.

I was wondering if someone with knowledge could give me an idiots guide to setting it up as I havent got a qlue...

Many thanks

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but have you got audio leads plugged in? Midi only carries data signals, nowhere near the bandwidth for audio.

do you have an audio interface, or are you just connecting the Proteus to your line in/mic socket on the computer? If so its going to sound like garbage whatever you do. Youll need to get a an audio interface or mixer that accepts line level signals.

Ignoring that, If you cant record the sound, do the first few Live lessons, they will run you through how to record better than any way I could explain it. Its well worth the couple of hours it will take you, and youll be up to speed in no time.
