Sound Check from Hell

Recently played @ Tronic Treatment in NYC and experienced a soundcheck from hell. http://www.tronictreatment.com
Sad to report that it was something wrong with Ableton Live. For some reason my Doepfer fader control wouldn't work and was very frustrating to troubleshoot. I assumed it was an OMS issue because midi In/Out would not work in OS 9. The Doepfer was working in OS X, but the audio out was distorted because I am using the e-magic emi2/6 for audio outs and using a filter in Ableton Live seems seems to cause audio horridness. So I went back to OS 9.
Couldn't sort out the problem @ soundcheck and did a great gig anyway just using the computer keyboard and key commands with some extra analog gear.
I just fixed the problem by deleting the Albeton Live preferences and re-inputting the Ableton Serial #'s. Make sure you have those with you when you travel.
telepathic regards,
