stupid question about set management

i've done this before, but recently tried it again without success.
i compose my tracks in their own individual set (using ableton 6.10??), however i'm trying to build a "Live performance" set which would contain clips/tracks from my various songs so i can do live remixes at a show.
i was able to copy tracks/clips from song A and paste in the new set, however no instrument info/setting, or samples, etc. came with it, only the midi clips/info copied. i know there must be a way to copy all info including instrument. i don't want to go and manually select the various FX and instr./impulses again.
how can i copy all info? what is the trick? i looked in the manual but couldn't find it. any help is always greatly appreciated!!!

if you locate the set in the browser and hit the lil triangle next to it, it should drop down all the tracks it has. Drag those into your new set and it should bring everything in with it.
The copy/paste thing idk... I think when you paste clips onto already existing tracks it won't import the instrument settings etc. Thus the advantage of just dragging in teh tracks.

i am no one, my friend.
i'm spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to manage my sets. The superset idea always came crashing down on me. Idk what i'm going to do know. I'm putting together this backing track project for the bars w

i feel like with the bar scene, you can take time loading tracks in between. but for clubs i dunno.... What kind of machine are you running this for and for what reason? just giggin?

i've got a fujitsu laptop of some kind with a bunch of specs that i cant remember.. duo 1.66ghz processors i think.. 4gb RAM...
basically i'm trying to take a studio project and make it performable w/loop triggering and live vocals. in the past i've perfomed with me, a guitar, and a drum machine in your future/pop/rock vein. but this is more of an ambient/tech space-themed thing with me, lappy, and midi controller...
basically i miss perfoming live, and i don't want to just press play and sit/stand there... although i do like that option if i drink too much while waiting to go on!
