Guru + Ableton

Hello everybody,
i have a problem with recording audio effects from Guru ; i can route the midi in another midi track to record all the midi notes, i can record the audio with the same way in an audio track ; but what if i want to record only the midi + the Guru's effects (tuning, effects, panning) and not the audio ??
Is there a solution to route the effects in "sends" channels (what is a sending channel, pre ; post-FX ?) or other ones ?? ; i try to route and record many things but i never have the effects automation ?
