Can you connect guitar to Ableton Lİte edition?

Hello,
my set up is Mac Airbook M3, Behringer UMC22, Squire guitar and Ableton live 12 lite.
I am trying to connect the guitar to but no signal is receiving to Ableton.
In garageband there is no problem. But at Ableton the 2nd input guitar is not giving any sounds.
Here is the question can we make good sound record at lite? Or is it just an edition for computer mixing?
Maybe I couldn't make the routing well.
Can someone explain?

I think the default monitoring mode for new tracks is off. you might just need to change it to auto, or on.
