Re: hip-hop/ambient/dreampop
I haven't made a sampled beat in forever. None of the featured songs on my myspace player contain vinyl samples, you have to think outside the box

Re: Best Soundcards for Live performance
Thanks everyone. That rme fireface UC looks nice but seems costly. I just bought a new macbook and another akai mpc for live use so my budget is tapped out at the moment. The motu one seems popular as well. Definitely some soundcards I'll look into in the future. So i take it you guys don't have any ...

Re: Can Live do...
yup.
I used to use an mpc2000 and an mpc2000xl for live performance and since I started with Live (version 3) I haven't looked back.

Re: Can Live do...
thanks for your help.
It is possible that I could slice the clips how I want in the clip editor, then import them into drum racks?
Thanks for the insight, much appreciated

Can Live do...
I just bought a copy of Ableton Intro, but before I register it, I'm wondering if it can accomplish what I'm trying to do.
I want to use it for live performances with the MPD24, and I want to trigger clips "MPC" style, like mono mode with stuttering, etc. No overlapping, a clip ends once a new clip ...
