Yes, you can do that in sampler. All you pretty much have to do it drop the sample in once and your good. See the manual for further detail. The only thing is about the pitch. It may start to sound weird once you get past one or two notes.

Say I have a one bar sample that has melodic and rhythmic content (like a sample from the chorus of a pop song for example). What I want to do is to be able to play the sound on my midi keyboard so that each key changes the pitch of the sample AND the sample stays in time regardless of pitch as it's ...

Or do you have no choice to be select it from the Edit menu?
