Re: OT: I'm a proud new papa!!
I would like to have one of those sitting at my MOTU Ultralite rightmost of my monitor.
@nuxnamon: Would you be so kind to provide a picture from it's backside because I'm curious if it is equipped with firewire to match my Ultralite.

Re: nonome = monome emulator for launchpad
I just posted a monome emulator for the Launchpad over at the monome forums for those of you who are interested. You'll need Max 5 (or the free runtime version) in order to use it. Let me know how it works for you. http://post.monome.org/comments.php?DiscussionID=6245&page=1#Item_0 Thank you......

Re: LAUNCHPAD - Day 1
I got two LP connected on an active USB hub and got the slow update rate problem of the pads as well. I started a thread here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=129002 to discuss proper USB setup. If anyone knows an already opened thread plz post the link/URL. To the user who solved ...

Re: Launchpad, usb port priority, midi controler general
What do you suggest? Do you have an idea, which order would be best? Should I get an expresscard with separate dedicated USB 2.0ports which I assign to just one device each? In the Launchpad manual is written that more than one device should run on a active usb-hub, but to me it sounds like both de...

Re: LAUNCHPAD - Day 1
UPDATE: I am happy to report that adding a dedicated USB controller to my system for the Launchpad solved this issue. The refresh rate went from about 350-400ms down to ~60ms. This invalidates my previous statement. Thank you... I was very unhappy concerning the refresh rate until I tried a dedicat...

Re: Does the smell of the Launchpad go away ?
Seems most of units dont smell so it might be just particular batch. My guess, knowing the Chinese manufacturers, someone didnt clean the machine after previous job, or few bags of raw material were used (underpaid worker sold the proper one and replaced with some cheap stuff to afford new Playstat...

I got my launchpad three days ago and by now I have to rub my nose over the pads to smell anything. I fear the "magic smell" is gone completely next week. For 179€ I normally expected a long-live cycle.

Re: Does the smell of the Launchpad go away ?
The smell is due to the softener in the pads and will volatilize... I had this smell already with other pieces of hardware. And last week it became worse because I treated my studio acoustically... My god do the bass traps and flutter walls smell horrible I don't smell my launchpad anymore. :| BTW:Y...

Re: F**K, next time I wait with upgrading...
maybe ableton could test it throroughly before cashing my money? The kind of bugs they have overseen and still are overseeing in each new version of theese live 8 desaster would be funny if it wouldnt be so sad You should everybody give the chance for improvements and I agree to participate in this...

Re: NICE! Free AutomapPro upgrade...
Awesome i qualify for that too. Whats so great about automap pro though? other than being able to run 2 novation products at once, which should really be a basic requirement. most of it should be basic, but its all niceities I find extremely useful 1) being able to use two controllers at once opens...
