Today I did a Live test between a Powerbook Titanium G4 1Ghz
and the new Powerbook Alu G4 1.25ghz.

Same amount of memory. Same operating system. OSX 10.2.8

I loaded the demo session.

The first scene called "LIVE!" generated 16% cpu on the OLD powerbook
and 21% on the new.

We too want to add our thanks to Ableton. Without Live I could've never imagined how to get our music out of the studio onto the stage. With each release it gives us more possibilities and flexibilities.

THere is certainly no harm to be done, the worst that might happen is that you have to manually re-assing inputs and outputs when you open the set again with the multi-channel soundcard hooked up.

So basically it takes over the system and then handles its own performance meter. By doing this it can be sure no other app or process is able to claim ...

I still think that succes lies in means of creativity and not in technology. So basically pc or mac can both work for you. Why not close this long chapter with that?
