No, there's no native mode. Yes, that does suck. It's "supported" like any other generic controller without readouts is supported.

Why not a interface similar to macros but just with VST devices? The eight knobs there with a midi map button, then you unpack the device (little triangle) to see Live´s interface to show the VST parameters and you are there...mapping. Then you hide the eight knobs, if you wish, and you save that ...

Nice idea, arachnaut. Not sure if anyone has done it before. One obvious implementation would be to do an FFT on the sound to get the frequency bands and then track and mopdify the amplitude changes of each band much as a compressor does for amplitude. Unfortunately think of the processing power ...

That's a pretty weak workaround if you're arrange-centric.

Question:

How does the "reverb tails" problem work with deep freeze? i.e. the audio tail from clip A extends into clip B's timeframe, so how does moving clips around deal with that?

Two big feature wishes, plus one minor commandment from God:

1. MIDI linked clips (aka Ghost clips in Energy XT) Instead of just pasting new independant copies, this lets you make "clones". So when you edit clone A, clone B gets updated. Honestly I cant believe Ableton hasnt made this feature yet ...

and i don't know how this actually works out, though i know that classical composers have done it in some way before, but in 1.618 the entire track both musically and visually has the golden ratio all throughout.
