Hey everyone.
I get 2ms latency with a new live set, but then on a trak with lots of plugs and fx latency gets horrible... any ideas on whats causing this?

an example.

-drop a vst into midi track
-click record cell button in the cell
-record midi notes, no problem, does not record midi knob cc.
-then move midi knobs without recording
-click record another cell in track

-record midi notes, but now midi knob data is recorded even without turning knobs ...

If i double click on an empty midi cell, this creates a blank clip which i can record midi notes into with my controller without recording midi cc data. But when i hit the little record circle in a clip, this is when it records the midi cc data without turning knobs. If the problem was ...

Im recording midi into clips and the clips record midi cc data even when my controller is not sending data. Tried this on two different controllers, same deal. In midi prefs I have only track IN on, any ideas or is this a bug?

this is why I am so disappointed with Ableton.
Because in over 8 years of trying they have consistently failed to deliver beards as impressive as this. Do they even have a functional beard of any kind? I'm not sure that they do. Not even a meagre goatee or one of those porno underhang things ...

This is excellent, the only thing that would keep me from using this in a live setup would be the six song limit. Are there any workarounds or plans to increase this?

Nope no way to do that, sorry. You can select the first device in the chain by hitting record arm twice, but thats about it. All in all im pretty dissapointed with lives automap implementation. Automap 2 is the shizzy shizzynit, you can choose all plugs from the remote sl, and it lets you customize ...

What i need is tips for mixing basslines.
How do you all do it?
40 hz cut, stereo widening? or do you prefer all mono?
how about notch filters?
Electro basses are very WIDE in the stereo field, how do you suppose this is done or how do YOU do it?

This is what i ended up doing... but this is lame.
Is there not a way to put one effect on multiple pads/chains in a rack? If not this is definitely gonna be a feature request from me.

I tried this, but when you turn down the volume for the chain all the way it stops routing to the sends. It looks like the sends are post-fader in drum racks.

I have a drum rack with 3 snares triggering at the same time, slightly off time from each other. Is there any way to send these three pads or chains to one compressor? The returns feature in drum racks seems like a good choice, but that only accepts audio from the sends, a part of ...

I have been just dragging the pads down so they fit on the 16 pads of my trigger finger. It seems to sound fine, but am i missing velocity multi samples by doing this? This seems like an easy fix to me... but i dont really understand all the stuff above.
