There is no bug or software issue here, you just need to make sure your looping commands are set correctly (the numbers to either side of the yellow loop/cycle button on the top right part of the screen). When you change to 6/4 from 4/4 for example, it still thinks you want to loop at 1 bar of 4/4 ...

Maybe try this

Set live to 3/4 globally

now set up a loop in Arrangement that is still 4/4, (the loop brace is set to 4/4 by default)

with that loop on, the session clock gets sent back to one

1,2,3,1(Loop) so in effect you get 1,2,3,1, 1,2,3,1, .....etc.......

Is this your problem?

Ok I can name a scene.. how does this help the counter clock delay?

Are there any other settings I should be checking? Strange ... :? hmm... Maybe zoom in and check the clips loop positions? Dont remeber if it came with 8 or 9 but lately its become easy to missplace the markers because it doesnt snap to the grid unless you are exact on it. Especially annoying ...

Huh that's weird, i have many song in 3/4, 6/4, 7/8 etc.. and never noticed anything wrong. As long as you're changing the global time signature, it works perfectly. At least with a 1 bar global quantification.

SO is there a fix for this ?? A have a few tunes in odd time and just want to trigger different scenes with a midi peddle.

Hi Everyone. I really hope someone can help me with this. I can trigger scenes in 4/4 no problem but with odd time like 3/4 or 5/4 a beat seems to get added somewhere and throws the groove right out. Hi..I only use Ableton for very basic needs. I want to render video with audio. I have Live 6 and need to upgrade to live 8. Will I still be able to use all the audio I've already recorded on 6? This is really not my field so I really am quite the dope!! cheers, deb
