upgrade 6 to 8 question..
Hi..I only use Ableton for very basic needs. I want to render video with audio. I have Live 6 and need to upgrade to live 8. Will I still be able to use all the audio I've already recorded on 6? This is really not my field so I really am quite the dope!! cheers, deb

yes.
it's going the other direction that's a problem. once Live 8 touches a project Live 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 will not be able to open it. the first thing you should do is save the set off as "blah blah blah Live8" then you'll still have the original available for Live 6.
