disabling the space bar for live situation is maybe a good idea

but changing it's behaviour so it won't play the selected clip in the arrangement view... please don't do that.

I really start to dislike Ableton for their snobby behaviour. They don't even answer support requests if it's maybe possible to

Yes, it's a bit wierd that it can now do perfect slaving to analog clock with shifting latency, but not shift midi / midiclock in/out

At least I hope that's whats happening, I'm buying a ER-M Midiclock (DIN/Modular Out goes into Audio IN of the Follow Feature) which should then give me perfect sync ...

What about MIDI clock? When syncing Live to an external MIDI clock, is that latency compensated?


don't think so or at least it hasn't been in Live 10. There's also no automatic latency compensation for Midi Out to HW Synths that are not going back into your interface, you can buy a expert ...

The new follow feature looks great! Not just to make Live follow a live drummer, but I guess you can also use it to listen to a audio clock generated by a modular. Since it's made to listen to a outside Audio Signal and follow a "live" source I wonder if it's latency compensated though?

yes, would be nice to get a word from Ableton how much of a challenge this is going to be for them, for people considering purchasing new Laptops this and next year.

C'mon guys, Live 10 will have most of the features of Bitwig and at least 3 more things too!!

I've been away from Ableton for a bit, but wondering if "disable grid snap" has always been on the cmd key?

because I usually change the note lenghts by increasing and decreasing the grid size with cmd+1 and cmd+2 and I could be wrong, but I remember always just keeping cmd pressed while clicking ...

still so confusing.

Not even thinking about major new features, but Ableton has the resources to really perfect their DAW with minor usability adjustments, but for some reason they just don't.

Maybe it's really that their making so much money, that they don't dare to change anything in fear of ...

BTW, if you make your scale clips only 1/16th long and loop it, you get a cool Step sequencer like view.
