Tried both things but didn't work out. Guess I'll format the OS and try again. I'd be really thankful for other User's experience reports with the same setup (rMBP 15" late october + live 9.1) for determining if it's a hardware thing so I would return the machine and get a new one.

If u wonder why nobody has answerded yet: Theres a whole bunch of nice tips here ,which notebook u should get, for different amounts of money- possibly every second user asked this question in this forum 8)- just use the search function.

Little hint from my side: if u decide to get double cpu ...

I've been looking at the dbtechnologies opera series too & would like to know if anybody has got any experience with them or another nice suggestion.

I've started a pretty similar thread a few days ago, maybe my question was too specific or too dumb. But nonetheless I'll give it another try:

What's your method in monitoring on Stage? What kind of Equip would u suggest to guarantee a true and reliable sound ?

I'm using Live 5 with a FW 410 and had some Problems while monitoring my Last Gig. I used my headphones to monitor through headphones out 2, but sometimes the volume of the PA was louder than the phones. And: the PA sounded obviously totallly different than my phones mix.
Please suggest a better way ...

thx machinate - I Know but I need it for an upcoming Gig and its more a one time thing- after that Im going to invest into a "real" Notebook. It should be as stable as possible for this single event.

Yes I bought 5 already. So u say theres no possibility to run a mac and a PC without paying more? Cause I thought about using my Desktop for the main sequencing and the Notebook/ibook for the Stage. And I#m more into using audio Sources (instruments, Voices) and just getting into using MidiSynths ...
