yeah i was told about T racks; but i'm looking for something simple at first since i'm just learning about mastering, and I didnt realy manage to work Tracks out.

so i'm still quit new to all this recording, mixing music and all, and i'm now looking for some software (plug in or stand alone) I can use to master some tracks I've recorded for a band.
I have no idea how to master, and what kind of software I can use with Live 4.1.4, so if anyone can ...

aye well i've been doing some asking around and sush, and it seems it might be my sound card, it being quite basic and just integrated in the motherboard.
I might go for a new sound card. thx for your help up to here anyway

thx alot, i've looked up those sound cards, and the Emu 0404 and the audiophil 24/96 seem to be quite good and at a good price.

exactly, its going trhough a preamp first to boost the signal and then into the motherboard input.
think my motherboard and/or sound card might be kind of crap, i can't realy change the routing on the sound card

what should i get then ?

I need to get a new soundcard to use with Live, mine being crap.
I was told to get the augigy 2 nx, is it any good ?
what other soundcard could i get to use with Live ? (knowing that i'm not the richest man on earth hahaha :wink: )

my soundcard is part of my motherboard wish is a K8UPGRADE-NF3, the soundcard on my motherboard is a 7.1 channels AC'97 Audio.
as far as i know i'm not using any virtual patchbay.

my multi track session is like this

audio track 1: track on with I recorded the drums

midi track 2 : track on wich i have a synth lead I did using the Operator on Live

audio track 3 : track on wich I am trying to record a guitar.

Wether i use headphones or not I still get the same problem ...

I recently tried to record some guitar parts over instrumental track i did, only problem is that as i record the guitar, it also record the whole song, so in the end i end up with my guitar plus the other tracks recorded into the same one.
I've tried various routing modifications, i always get the ...

however i find the drum machines on Live to lack cymbals, does anyone no any plugin compatible with Live that offers good sounding real drum sounds ?
