MASTERING with live 4.1.4 !!!

Post by Video kid » Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:58 pm

hi there,
so i'm still quit new to all this recording, mixing music and all, and i'm now looking for some software (plug in or stand alone) I can use to master some tracks I've recorded for a band.
I have no idea how to master, and what kind of software I can use with Live 4.1.4, so if anyone can help me out that would be realy great !

I find T-racks better than izotope, it gives out a warmer deeper mastering sound, very easy to use and very professional result.

yeah i was told about T racks; but i'm looking for something simple at first since i'm just learning about mastering, and I didnt realy manage to work Tracks out.

Without sounding sarcastic or condesending (really i'm not) ... but it doesnt get any simpler than T-Racks,

Its got like 5 knobs all in all to fiddle with...

heh. do a search for mastering. there are tons of threads on it.

i have an old singleband version of t-racks (do they make multiband?) and i recently purchased ozone. it is by far a superior tool, but if they were to make a muti-band compressor for t-racks i might change back to that.

it is super simple. choose a preset. make a few tweaks, and you are (usually) instantly better off than you were before.

izote is set up for tweaking out stuff, but you can do cool stuff like sample other recordings eqs and what not.
