Re: Trash the PERCENTAGES/Relative Clip envelopes already.

Wouldn't it be easier to just automate the send A knob instead of drawing clip envelopes in all clips if u only need it for one clip 8O

Automation => absolute values
Clip envelope => relative values

I really like the behavior as it is, cause u are able to modulate a filter in a clip and even fade ...

Re: 64BIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries. I am sure Live 9 will support 64 Bit. Nowadays there is no way around for an up to date sequencer like Live.

Re: Frozen tracks editable...

It is possible!
I am not talking about certain parts of the track!

I am talking about devices in the device (or signal) chain.

For example:

You have a VST-Synth on a Midi-Track, a Chorus, a Delay and an EQ in this order.
If u freeze the whole track, the whole device chain will be rendered to ...

scutheotaku wrote: This isn't really a solution, more a workaround, but you could try placing the frozen track by itself in a group and then putting your EQ on the group.
Well, THAT sounds like a workaround for me :)
By the way it works like that already!

Frozen tracks editable...

Please give an option, to select the effect/device until which to freeze the track.
All effects in the chain AFTER the frozen ones can still be edited and will be calculated in real-time.

That would make it possible to freeze an VST-Instrument and still edit the EQ for example without unfreezing.

Yeah, there are missing essential features like

- snap to grid (horizontally) when you move an anchorpoint
- showing the value of an anchorpoint even when not moving

and so on...

Better browser!!

I always get tired of searching samples or presets that I've found some weeks ago or that I used somewhen before.
It would be a really cool to have the following features in the Live browser:

- possibility to assign favorites (no matter if they are audio-samples, synth-presets or somewhat). So I ...

Re: Playing Midi notes while playback without recording?!

ahh ok, how easy...
But shouldn't the record button at the top control the recording behavior?

Playing Midi notes while playback without recording?!

Hey guys,

is there any possibility to play an instrument in Live while playback without recording the notes I just played?
I thought it would only record if the global record button at the transport bar is activated.
But that only seems to work for audio, doesn't it?
