So in summary L9 automation is......
Badly flawed and hard to get used to

I am really not sure what you are trying to get at with your summary. I have ALREADY explained in detail one area of functionality that has been removed that greatly ...

Re: Automation dots - ARGH!!
I have also encountered this and found that it is because the whole automation lane is selected. Clicking anywhere within the lane will de-select the lane and allow you to click on the single dot that you want to work with.
Interesting, I will have to try that and the next time it happens see if ...

Re: Automation dots - ARGH!!
I never told you to use the beta.
I asked a simple question, that's it!
why asking for specification about the version you use or the OS of your system brings half the time some anger response?
cool down, I'm just trying to help you.
Btw replying to your topic made come other users who try as well ...

Re: Ableton as Master Logic Pro as slave
This is wonderful information, thank you, I had no idea that I could do this over the LAN, I will be googling with much gusto.
I guess I had also better check whether Logic can be slave or Master.
MIDI master/slaving appears to be the solution to me CPU blow out issues!

Ableton as Master Logic Pro as slave
Good Day all,
I was wondering if anybody here has managed to resolve a situation where a PC is running Ableton Live as a master and a Mac/Hackintosh is running Logic Pro and both systems are connected via MIDI in a configuration where they are synced and will play together? I believe this is a ...

Re: Anti Virus software and DPC latency (NIS 2012)
Thank you so much for a well written and intelligent reply, I am grateful. It looks like MSE for the Music partition and I'll leave NIS2012 on the Main partition.
As for the 32-bit, well, it's just there because occasionally I bump into something that literally says "This will only run on a 32-bit ...

Anti Virus software and DPC latency (NIS 2012)
Good Day all,
I am hoping that someone can help me resolve my dilemma. First, allow me to explain my setup.
I have 1.4TB of stoarage (RAID 0+1) that I have carved into 3 Win 7 installs:
Win 7 x64 Music (500GB)
Win 7 x64 Main (500GB)
Win 7 x86 (400GB)
I have segregated my music OS to keep DPC ...

Re: Ableton for iOS?
Seriously, I have an iOS development team working with my company - they did apps for Orange and others. I'd even go as far as writing an app like that. All I'd need is some expertise and the code for the synth engines and effects.
I'd be happy to develop it for a share from sales as I am a Live ...

It's a very pleasant and portable device to use...Tone Deft wrote:^consider this. the iFad is as powerful as the computers that were around when Live 1 was released. I believe that's a true statement, too lazy to google for MIPS and dates.

Re: Ableton for iOS?
There's a good reason developers are flocking to iOS products. You actually get money for it.
AWESOME comment!! It totally cracked me up!! Nothing like making a point with humour!!

Re: Ableton for iOS?
oh no, you'll know when I'm bent out of shape. this is just me bored at work. :P
who knows if the Abes will ever write for the iPad. maybe it's better visibility for them not too. FL has a reputation as a low end DAW, if Ableton were to follow them it might make them look more like a low end DAW ...

Re: Ableton for iOS?
What I think is funny is anytime an established music company releases an iPad app or another controller/DAW app comes out people start posting like music companies that haven’t yet must be quaking in their boots, falling behind the times, and having long serious employee meetings on how they ...

Re: Ableton for iOS?
You make some good points. Personally though I think my iPad 2 with a dual core is quite capable. The OS however is limited, I agree and VSTs as such do represent a problem.
However, it doesn't represent any more of a problem that I have collaborating with a friend. He has suite, I have only Live ...

Ableton for iOS?
So, now that we have FL Studio for iOS is it possible that an Ableton for iOS could be become a reality?
