First of all, thanks for these,

I was a little disappointed to see that the digital peak meter is not included in the mac freeware pack... I've been waiting for this to appear on the mac for awhile (and of course the pro version)

Any plans for the digital peak meter (pro) port for mac?

I recommend the mda piano vsti. Its really old, but still works well for me as quick piano sound, and its UB on the mac. There is also the the mda epiano which is also quite good for a rhodes sound.

I can't remember it right now, but there is a website that does this for you automatically. You type in a phrase, and it generates audio for you based on a samples of music. They're not acapella, but it's still really, really cool.

Im pretty sure if you are on a mac the temp files could be found in the trash... and just restored from there... wouldn't know about Windoze though.

Its actually possible to do some reasonably good time streching using only sampler but its not as easy as pressing the time machine button in Kontakt.

Briefly, here is how i do it.

1. Load a loop
2. set the sample start and end to taste.
3. Turn on the forward loop mode and select the link ...

I hear ya basstooth, i already found the test tone trick. That works great (and i use it all the time) in the studio but, as DKF points out, a plugin tuner would be really handy for tuning quickly in a live context, which is why im looking.

I've been on the hunt for a plugin tuner to use in Live for awhile now.

I have found a few AU's, but all were written in Cocoa and the GUI doesnt show up in Live.

I know of a few standalone tuners as well, but i would really like a plugin.
