I'm also having trouble solving my MIDI latency issues. I have a roland, 88 weighted keys, and an m-audio midi-to-usb connection. How does one go about adjusting the latency time in preferences? I was thinking it was a velocity setting problem at first, within the synth settings for example ...

Aha yes, I see what you exactly what you mean, once you get a hold of some important key commands it really helps... And there is a way to program the order in which clips fire is there not? Some sort of auto-pilot?

Thanks for the tip! For some reason when I copied the clips into arrangement view, they would grey out and not play back. But it seems to work now, and yes, I can see why Arrangement view is better....Thanks!
