Hi. I am having this same problem. All MIDI I record into live is written to clips approx. 190 ms early. I also use Sonar without this problem.

XP sp2
m-audio fasttrack pro
m-audio usb 1x1 uno

HELP! Sampler release envelope is being sketchy

Organizing Sampled Loops

ok, I've been sampling vinyl into various ableton sets over the past month or two, mostly loops which I warped accordingly. My question is:

how do I get all these samples into ONE folder AND get the clip names i entered for each of them to show up in the file browser. As of now, they're all ...

thanks, i just found this out a few minutes ago. it's a lot better, but still, it would be nice to have some sort of preset automation that could be set triggered without being in song mode.

changing tempo gradually

is there any way to do a gradual tempo change while dj'ing live? I tried assigning the tempo to a slider, but it's even coarser than just going up 1 bpm at a time with the arrow keys. And typing in decimals manually is pretty tedious...

Converting Stereo Samples to Mono

Anyone know of any freebie programs that would be able to easily convert a lot of stereo one shot wav samples to mono wavs?

Nope, all the midi delay compensations are set to 0.0. I have all of the syncs turned off, anyhow.

it's a P4 1.5 with 256mb and a creative soundblaster card. Not the fastest of computers, but it runs near perfectly in sonar 4 with both audio and midi work.

MIDI not lining up right

Ok, here's the deal. So I turn on the metronome, set auto quantization off, and record a little midi clip from my keyboard in perfect time with the metronome. But the notes get recorded around a half a beat AHEAD of where they're supposed to be. (Not during playback, but on the grid itself) I've ...
