Re: Ableton "indie rock band" user here, now ready to record CD
record in live. bounce out stems to whatever DAW the studio you end up at has. just be aware of sample rates, and not changing them around. Sorry for my ignorance, is a stem a single audio track? Also, would you recommend in ableton I record with EQ settings / effects enabled or do that in the subs...

Ableton "indie rock band" user here, now ready to record CD
Hopefully I don't start an obvious and pointless thread here, but I'm searching for some guidance in the foggy road ahead of recording a CD; I.e. Which DAW to record tracks in (for guitar, synth, etc) so I can save some money when going to the studio and polishing the final product with a profession...

When I run my vocal tracks and drums our of a single line out of my fast truck ultra (1/4 inch to XLR patch cable --> XLR cable into a powered speaker (Mackie Thump 400...

Re: Can you create stop points in songs in Live?
Yeah, that sounds perfect! I didn't know you could make cue-points. I'm assuming this is explained in the help document? (I'm at work so I can't check it out right now)

Can you create stop points in songs in Live?
I currently have a song in Live where in the middle of the song the tempo slows down and live is no longer needed for a few bars. I would like this part to be independent of the live bpm. After these bars are up, the song continues onward using the original tempo. Can I setup the song to automatical...

Live slows to a crawl with too many drum racks open...
My current style of writing drum parts for my songs is to open a drum rack (usually a kit) and punch out a beat using my drum pad... from here I'll add more drum racks into Live so I can play beats on top of previous beats until I get what I want. This is alongside several audio tracks that are all ...

Re: Will TRS cables help me?
anyways I just found out that when i unplug my laptop a significant amount of noise goes away That's what I noticed... that when my laptop relied on it's battery, it was completely silent. As soon as I plugged it in, I heard noise. The ground lift fixed it for me. My laptop did have a 3 prong plug....
