I have my stereo outs going into my emu 0404, and basically record drumming on the pads the same way you would record real drumming or any other physical instrument. I also do this with chopped guitar and bass loops, as well as loops off of records.

It doesnt really matter if im a little off time ...

I do alot of original work Id say about 75, maybe 70,

Most my stuff is live instrumentation (drums, guitar, bass) that I sample and chop and so forth.

I do pull from a record every now and then however, especially for drum one shots.

I Dont have an MPC but I use My Roland MV 8000 with live, for all my drums, samples and any time i want to do any real heavy live instrumentation.

Strange I really dont use any Midi sequencing at all any more, its just audio.
