Ableton Support ( are you there ? )

I have been a Live user since the beginning ( Live 1 ).
Upgraded to every version since, but only upgraded to 5.2 from 4.0 on 8/30/06 with the promise of a free upgrade to 6.0 when it was released.

Problem seems to be getting a valid serial number - I have changed ISP's since the earlier days, and ...

Well, my friends ...
and, nosuch, I did take it to the woods ...
I was running an ethernet cable to my daughter's room to hook up her eMac to our router, and happened to bump the water valves connected to our washing machine in the process. I didn't know about the slow water leak until the next ...

I have to agree about the media we are surrounded with ... television "sound bites", elevator "muzak", the National Enquirer and supermarket tabloids with poor Photoshop hacks showing proof of alien visitations, religious icons appearing in the sesame seeds on a Big Mac Burger, etc.

It makes one ...

Rx - You've made my evening!

For those of us who believe that by being artists, poets, musicians, ( magicians? ), we can bring meaning to the world, your "in utero" experience should ring true.

I believe that there is a lot more to the human experience than television and popular music "allow" in ...

I still haven't gotten a response from NI on the ongoing situation ...

I guess I'll play the waiting game.

No AU support is still an issue, but any support on a piece of software that:

A: doesn't work
B: sits on my hard drive with "authorization" that I'm afraid to even touch to try to get it to ...

Been away for awhile --- my youngest daughter graduated from high school here in the states, and it's traditional to throw a party for friends and family to celebrate the occasion. So Mom and Dad prepare food, and the premises ( no one in their right mind would ever believe that we always have a ...

So now we are getting down to addictive behaviour ... <grin>
What a thread !!! -
I walk away from it all the time, and go out and have a smoke and try to "collect my wits" ... actually, I find that walking around and getting away speaks to me as I hear all of the rhythms and latent tunes floating ...

Okay - The threads on the NI site indicate a known problem with M-Audio devices/drivers using Session - I downloaded the latest version ... it still dies an ugly death. At least they are aware of it ... Not ready for prime time in the OS X world ( but what else is new ?? Patience is a virtue ).
NI ...

I'd really say whatever your hardware supports - a wall of information and whatever allows you to get to what you need - two physical monitors arei always better than one ... the virtual thing allows multiple screens in a small studio space ... extra monitors are cheap enough these days, and ...

For you Mac OSX guys out there ... try CodeTek Virtual Desktop -
I have a Viewsonic 20" LCD monitor ( I convinced myself that I needed it due to the electromagnetic hum induced in my guitar's pickups using a standard monitor ... )
With CodeTek's Virtual Desktop, I can have Live running on one screen ...

Logickal - You are aggravating me just even mentioning Reaktor 4 - I've been fighting Session - see the Session versus OSX thread on this board -

Reason is a great program, but it seems to kick out the same kind of jams repeatedly, and that's why I started this thread - dance music, and related ...

Okay - I've been waiting patiently for NativeIntruments to return my "call"
I rarely get aggravated about things ... but at this point, maybe warnings are in order ... DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS THING -
Maybe it works fine on Windows machines; I could try it on my Windows box, but then I would have ...

Reaktor Session versus Mac OSX ?

Has anyone got Reaktor Session to work in Live, ( or to work at all ) using Mac OSX?

I upgraded from Dynamo to Session because it was supposedly compatible with OSX. Supposedly supporting all the Windows formats, and in addition VST, AudioUnits, etc.

Being a virtual instrument and VST effects ...

Tension between the artist and medium ... well said.

Tension and release are terms used in the description of music composition ( in my experience, referring to Classical Music ). What we are going through in our creative processes today, I have to believe are universals that transcend the eras ...

Rx - Got sidetracked last night by family stuff ... my life gets split up into little fifteen minute segments ... not real conducive to ever getting anything done.
That's the problem with "home studios" ... you're always accessible, and the thought is that you're really never working, but just ...
