Shift Button in ableton for a midicontroller?
So, I've got an 25 key midi-controller hooked up to Ableton, and connected to the controller I have a boss sustain-pedal. What I'd like to do is use the sustain-pedal as a bank switch (which I do in Traktor, which got native support for this kind of stuff) so that the knobs do different things ...

Re: Vote for your main wishes for Live 9
I'd suggest to implement a little dialoge window when you try to reverse a larger clip, say a few minutes (ie a song), reminding you that this might take a little while to process and ask you to confirm the reversing. Luckily my computer haven't ever suffered a crash because of trying to reverse a ...

LED behaviour witht the launchpad and Midi YOKE
I've been playing around with my launchpad for a while, but one thing that bugs me is the fact that the LED behaviour is kind of akward for what I want to do. For example, I use the launchpad as a sequencer, so that a loop scrolls from top to bottom through Follow Action, but as it is right now the ...

There isn't. Something doesn't become cheesy because of C or dark because of F sharp.

Could be, I can't honestly say that I know how they did that kick, almost sounds like its something recorded rather than programmed, like a mic bump or something, its lovely!

Re: Maybe you guys can help me :) Kick Drum Programming
Should be noted that a lot of kicks from proffesional sample-packs are readily layered and processed, and a huge part of a kick's feel in the mix is the space given by the mixing engineer. If you want that kick to sound loud and boomy you should let it have a space for that in the mix, so even ...

Re: Cross fader help please!
It wouldn't work perfect, but you could map a fader to the volume of each channel, and invert the B fader, so that you only get the one or the other. It's not gonna sound great though.

Re: Production tips for up-front/dry sounding tracks
I think you need to use reverbs and delays JUST enough to give it a sense of space and room, but not enough to actually start being audible.

Re: Sampling
Its a bit like trying to get the eggs out of a baked cake, you can't really do it. Some times, you might have some strawberries on the top of the cake that you can pick out, but generally, its impossible to get exactly the same tracks as the source had.

Re: How do you get stereo separation? What effects etc...
Using the utilityplug doesn't actually make the stereo wider, it just removes whatever mono material there is and plays what is in the pans. Thus, a 200% wide setting on a mono source would give you nothing sent to the master.

When I'm using the pianoroll, for some reason, without me doing anything particular, I get this. I can only see one note, and I can't find anything in any menu, so I really have no idea where to go with this. Any help? Basically what I want to do is get the piano ...

Re: is it possible (weird question)
Nope. Why would you want that? Maybe you can explain so we can try to come with some alternative solutions.
