Question for you...

On version 5 of live I often imported an mp3 file, warped it then I clicked on the replace button and swapped the mp3 for the wav file.
I then hit save again and just used the wav file as it loads faster.

Now on version 6 of live, the replace button isn't there ...

I am using a similar set up....

I have 2 m-audio controllers linked to my Mac G4 and I used to get a freezing all the time.

The problem turned out to be a rogue VST I was using and nothing to do with the actual usb or Live.

Once I had removed this VST from my system and deleted everything to do ...

I have a Powerbook G4 17" with the 7200 hard drive. I also have a Macbook pro and here are my thoughts.

I think the G4 runs pretty well.. I am DJ'ing with it and its working fine with the M-Audio Firewire. I find it normally runs around 10 to 15% CPU but when I add 2 compressors from Reaktor to 2 ...

This idea of the VST's is interesting....

I read somewhere else about this.

I use Reaktor in the project everytime so how do I move them out? I want to use the small mastering from Reaktor each time so any idea on what to try next?

Everything seems to be running much smoother since I started using wave files but there is one small problem
I am having with regards Ableton.

After I have saved a set as self contained or even just a set with some tracks in it....
I can open the file for say 4 or 5 times then suddenly ...

I am now pretty happy with how live runs on my mac

I have DJ'd out about 6 times now and its ran pretty well since I changed all my files from mp3 to waves and also self contained the tracks.

The only problem I do get is that once or maybe twice a night when I drop a track in I get a very short ...

I think one of the main issues with this has been down to dragging mp3's from the left hand browse window into the clip views.
