Ableton freezes when opening a saved set

Hey guys

Everything seems to be running much smoother since I started using wave files but there is one small problem
I am having with regards Ableton.

After I have saved a set as self contained or even just a set with some tracks in it....
I can open the file for say 4 or 5 times then suddenly it just stops working.

I click on the file and Ableton starts to open, the window opens and the screen
ableton screen goes white and the logo box for ableton stays open and
I can see the small progress bar going up then suddenly it locks.

The file then hangs and won't open at all. I leave it for ages and nothing.
I then have to turn the Apple G4 off by holding in the button as I can't get anything else to
work on the laptop.

When I re-boot and open the file again it says I had a problem do I want to open again.
If I open a blank ableton then its fine but if I open the saved file the same thing happens.

Any ideas guys?

I have seen this happen due to VSTs most of the time. Are there VSTs that you use consistently in these projects? You may want to move them out and then try adding them back one by one. Try saving your projects on a different drive if that doesn't work. I had a drive go bad a while back and that would happen with all of my newer projects.

This idea of the VST's is interesting....

I read somewhere else about this.

I use Reaktor in the project everytime so how do I move them out? I want to use the small mastering from Reaktor each time so any idea on what to try next?

Can you explain a little more?
