Behringer BCA 2000 is good enough for me at the mo 120 quid n'all....... cheap as chips and Mic preamp and Hiz git input!

I have had the same problem and traced it to my USB mixer/card (Behringer BCA). I have to literally unplug and then plug straight back in!!! Nightmare

Still it only happens once or twice a set...... that's liveable init!??

Well I have to admit I'm disappointed in this respect...... I bought Abe specifically to mix with. I have Reason and have used Cubase SX before and thought Abe was the missing ling.

That said everything else it does, it does superbly, so musen't grumble too much.

I have a lptop set up below, and a desktop unit also. I took the plunge and got a Behringer BCA USB mixer with soundcard in it. An upgrade from my pretty crap Behringer analogue mixer.

Try using re-pitch in warp mode...... I have had exactly the same problem..... sounds terrible with beats mode, better with complex, but CPU hungry and fingers crossed spot on with re-pitch. Let me know if this helps

Its most likely there are errors/glitches in the MP3 you have downloaded. Have you listened to the track all the way through in media player. If there are any sqeeks, skips or anything else, its likely some of the info is missing, which is causing abe to bug. Had this problem myself with a few MP3 ...

I have to say, having tried a lot of the tweeks out there, they make some difference, but in my experience if you have a major issue, with spikes, clipping etc, they are unlikely to help.

That said, I suppose you don't know till you try it hey! I'm just pi***d off with spending hours delving into ...

My Behringer BCA has completely different latencies and its never caused me no bother. If its not making things sound crap then ignore it.... there are bigger, buggier things to worry about!!!

Strangely I have on my laptop, but not my desktop. It was ready for a rebuild anyway, which I did and hey presto..... no more problems!

Its a severe solution, but it worked for me!

Maybe somebody has a better solution other than a rebuild. Perhaps you could try un-installing all versions of Abe ...
