Hello all,

Anyone out there who is doing AV shows try out the new M4L patches to link Resolume vj software with Ableton Live 8?

I guess my real question is: How feasible would it be to run Resolume and Ableton on one MacBookPro with these patches? Could the CPU handle it?

I already have a M Audio Firewire Solo, but (although it shows up in the config window in Ableton preferences), I can't get it to record anything with a mic attached to the XLR port.

Hi folks,

I've been noodling around with Live 8 since October.

I bought a M Audio firewire solo thinking it would be an ok sound card, but I can't get it to work.

I am only thinking of DJing and maybe attaching a mic to get some "sound objects" (field recordings even), organic random stuff, etc ...

Just some aesthetics here....When I am using Launchpad in User 1 to play stuff with pads is there no way to get some lights working?

I mean, without Automap Universal, which is not my fave mapping device!

I am wondering what are the minimum requirements to get my sounds out of my laptop into a club's sound system?

Is it possible to output the sound with just a M Audio firewire solo interface? Or (um, the dummy's question), must I have a sound card to?
