Getting my sound out there - beginners's question

Hi there,

I am wondering what are the minimum requirements to get my sounds out of my laptop into a club's sound system?

Is it possible to output the sound with just a M Audio firewire solo interface? Or (um, the dummy's question), must I have a sound card to?

I am coming out of the VJ or visualist's world and only started learning ableton live 8 a few months ago.

your firewire interface acts as your soundcard. So if you're just djing really all you need are 2 balanced 1/4" cables. Just stick them into the live PA.
