Re: Live slow startup solved! (Not Really)
I have a quad core i7 MBP and Live takes minutes to open. It just beachballs for a minute while activity monitor shows 100% usage. When it eventually opens up a blank set, every action freezes live, such as opening preferences, selecting a preference tab, changing audio interface input or output, ch...

Re: Live 9.5 crashes/issues
I, too, am getting crashes with just an empty set and dragging in audio files. As well as several other varieties of crashes. Just keep on sending in those crash reports. I'm finding really poor compatibility with my Apollo as well. Launching Live it will just hang on 100% CPU and either crash or fi...

Convolution Reverb will not load impulse responses
I've been Googling and searching and have come up with no answer. M4L convolution reverb pro and regular will not load impulse responses. I have updated everything, running 9.2.1 in both 64 and 32 bit, no luck. Max 7.0.5 installed. OSX 10.9.5. Most recent M4L essentials pack installed. Nothing worki...

Re: Does iZotope need to be bought by a bigger company?
Sweetwater blew it with me. My guy would call alllllllll the fucking time like we're old best friends. Then when I'm on tour and shit breaks, I order it up with next day delivery to the hotel I'll be landing at. They call and say they can't ship to the address that doesn't match the address on the c...

Re: MFL Share - Sidechain anything -TT Sidechainer
Hey, first off amazing idea and really cool execution/design. I've been playing around with this, and can't seem to get it working with quite a few devices. It finds the devices, but the parameter drop down is always blank, for whatever device I select. Any idea about this? Am I using it wrong? Thi...

Re: iConnectMIDI2+ with iPad only
I would check to see if your configuration works with it before buying. I've had nothing but grief setting mine up on Windows 7 x64 and ios 8. I gave up in the end. Waste of money. That may be your experience but I've been touring non stop for over a year with mine and it is rock solid. Invaluable ...

Re: EDIT: Ableton replies - Says crash a MASCHINE issue??
Same problem here with Maschine Studio and Maschine 2 when used as vst plugin. Had a Live song which couldn't be opened anymore because Maschine always freezed on startup. Only removing the plugin worked. I'm quite confident that the Maschine plugin isn't working correctly. Hopefully there'll be an...

Re: Clever ways to load a set file on stage?
I've been using this app called OnStage that is available on App Store. It lets you select up to 30 Live sets and assigns a program change number to each one so that you can simply press a button on your keyboard (which is what I do) and that closes the currently open Live set and opens whichever so...

Re: Does anyone ever use Live's built-in synths?
I just think an instrument GUI overhaul would be refreshing, they've been the same for years and with retina screens and whatnot things are starting to look a bit small down there. Not to get away from the original topic, these are just wishful thinking items at this point. The instruments still sou...

Re: Does anyone ever use Live's built-in synths?
If they could make expanding windows for the synths that fill the screens like Spectrum and EQ8 I imagine that would be a huge incentive for more people to check them out and use them. They would just seem more impactful given some room to stretch out rather than just a little box on the bottom of t...

Re: Backing up data
If it's your livelihood it's not OCD, just smart. I also have a 2nd laptop running the same set at the same time in case laptop 1 shits the bed while I'm playing. So I suppose that counts as a 4th backup. The Finn wrote:Wow, you are almost as OCD as me

Re: Backing up data
I keep a Time Machine backup that stays at home, a cloned portable drive that stays with me but separate from where my computer is in case it gets stolen or destroyed, and all of my current projects saved in Dropbox.
