Ok - well, the old "unplug it and wait 30 seconds" did the trick. Would still like to know why, but back in action for now...lol

Playback controls, prefs, etc. still function, but on one project the pads and screen have gone dark – not allowing me to control a MIDI track at all. In Arrange mode. Everything works as expected on a new project – just happening on this one file.
