keymap is only for triggering aka note-on. There is no way to take data from the moment you stop to press a specific key => note off.

Hi Ableton fellows

For many years in each of my audio inputs on Ableton 9, I had an option to receive the signal from max6 and max7
(in the section alongside with the tabs Ext.In, Resampling etc).

But the last months this option magically disappeared on Ableton 9 as also Ableton 10.

(i have not find a way to make the keyup object work inside m4l
except if i select the device by hand....)

Hello... i want to create a m4l midi device where "z" key triggers A# note...BUT PERMANTLY
so EVERY time i open the device z triggers A#...

the problem is that the max [key] object is not working(except if device is selected)
and the key mapping is not permanent

it s so important for categorization especially for M4L where i test many many devices as i create them...

ok i found the mistake... i run ableton from the loader inside the ableton live 9 installer package who has for some reason no access to max6 ...(i run ableton without to install it ... it worked well but without open m4l)

although i am an "old" max4live user i can t open max4live on ableton 9 trial...
i expected that ableton suite and m4l is one program on live 9...
but when i open a max4live instr/midi/audio device has no devises/presets..it s empty and i can t open and edit with max editor...

you can not change-choose fx presets via automation or midi
but only with the mouse after 8 versions of ableton ????

maybe the first thing you should do is to find the presets in the documents/ableton/library folder and see what happens...if still missing from the 3 folders instrument/effect/midi rack then maybe you can find these presets somewhere else in the ableton site... if the presets are not missing then ...
