Quick question, and this may be super easy, I'm just having a hard time figuring out how to do it.

I want to add delay to just the last word of each vocal phrase...

example:
"Close your eyes(eyes)(eyes)(eyes)(eyes)"
.<original vocal>.<delay..fading..fading..>.

...I have tons of VST effects, but ...

I'm using LIVE 2 on an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 1.8ghz 512ram

What operating system would be best to use on this machine to work best with LIVE... I've been using XP, but about an hour into my sets, it starts stuttering, skipping sound????

Okay... so I'm using Live on a brand new eMachines (amd athlon 2400+/1.8Ghz/512k/40gig) and I have video acceleration turned all the way off... Live seems to be working fine, but every once in a while I'll hit a point where it starts to crackle, and it won't stop. If I restart the computer it works ...

thanks to all of you... great advice... I'm versed with both PC & Mac (own both also) but have the LIVE & REASON for PC... found some good deals and going to get the laptop very soon... will let you all know exact specs when I do...

I'm about to buy a new laptop, that I will be using exclusively with Reason 2.5 and Ableton 2. I want to know what you all have and what works the best?

I don't have a ton of money at the moment, but obviously want something that will be a work horse and run Ableton flawlessly...
