Axiom Midi programming question

Hello all -- I', a guitarist, very new to MIDI, to apologies for the basic question (and yeah I did crack the manual). I'd like to program the soft pads on my Axiom Pro 61 to trigger the drum kit in Impulse. Would any kind soul be able to tell me how I would go about doing that? I assume I need to a...

Midi controllers: recommendations. Who likes Axiomn 61 Pro

Hi folks, I use both Live and Logic -- songwriting/ideas/fun in Live, then more "sophisticated" mixing, etc in Logic where it's a bit easier to work with UAD-2's plugs. Been looking around for a new MIDI controller. Currently use an Editorl PCR-800, which I've used pretty much as a keyboard, that is...

Akai MPK88 vs MPK61

Hi all, in the market for a new MIDI controller,. Looking at the Akai MPC series, particularly the 61 and 88. Is there any real difference between them, besides the number of keys and that the 88's keys are fully weighted? Anyone had an experience (good or bad) in using with Live? Thanks all and hap...

Re: What Limiter are you using or do you rate??

I like UAD's 1176SE or 1176LN; required a UAD card but such can be the best investment you can ever made in your home/project studio.

Re: Using Ableton Live Lite 8.2.1 - Hard Rock

+1 on Addictive drums, get the Metal packs. I also do primarily metal and find it waaay superior to EZ Drummer. And also yes, buy a bass -- unless of course you wanna use something like Massive or a similar synth to create a deep, addressive bottom. It won't be totally "tru" metal but it can sound v...

Re: Sound is distorted. Audio engine problems ?

I'm using 8.2.1. I unhooked the duet and restarted my machine, then hooked the duet back up again. Problem seems to have gone away for a bit. I've also e-mailed Apogee support. This problem also affected my NI Kore Controller yesterday, so I'm not entirely sure it's duet related. Things seem to poi...

Addictive Drums, separate outputs in LIVE

in Live. Here's what I'm doing: 1. creating an instance of AD, and within the AD mixer, outing each kit channel. 2. In Live's Arrangement View, creating AUDIO tracks for each AD mixer channel 3. Changing the EXT IN in each of these Live AUDIO tracks to the name of the AD MIDI track; 4. Changing the ...

Re: Videos for training

Hi all, new to Ableton from the guitar/Logic world. Looking for some food training vids to supplement the manual (I'm one of them that actually RTFM). Any suggestions? MacProVideo? Any others? Thanks all. MacProVideo is awesome and I recommend the monthly subscription service because it gives you a...
